Tradesrecognition.com was formed in mid 2008 as a means of providing a number of separate RTOs who were already Skills Assessing, the ability to combine resources and services and maintain quality assurance.

The RTOs recognised that the benefits of having a centralised administration and management system contributed significantly to the conduct of operations by:

·     Sharing physical and human resources - including training development

·     Maintaining quality systems – central compliance team with links to industry

·     Providing flexible logistical support – central administration

·     Ensuring cost effective operations – shared costs

·     Flexible operation support – supporting various time zones

The consortia members have signed a Corporate Agreement and comply with a single Code of Practice. The Corporate Agreement requires the use of standardised assessment tools, processes and benchmarks. The Code of Practice requires consortia members to implement policies and management practices that commit members to maintaining professional standards in the delivery of education and training services, within international operations, which safeguard the educational interests of all stakeholders and provides integrity to the process.
